South Bay man found guilty of murdering parents over finances

 

A man from South Bay has been convicted of the 2016 murder of his parents in their home. The motive behind the crime was his parents’ refusal to give him access to their retirement accounts, causing him to become frustrated. He shot his father multiple times and fatally stabbed his mother. The jury found him guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, and he now faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

San Jose: Gang members found guilty in stomping death of eighth-grader

 

Three gang members were found guilty in the 2012 stomping death of an eighth-grade student in San Jose. The 14-year-old victim was targeted due to a red hat he was wearing, which was the color of a rival gang. The three assailants, all teenagers at the time of the incident, were convicted of first-degree murder and other gang-related crimes.
